I was over at the Yahoo! group and talking to a fellow there who is short of players.

Would there be an interest in us hosting a "Find Players In Your Area" section on these forums? It won't cost us anything to maintain it, but there may be concerns about privacy. Obviously, it would be voluntary.

I think it would be a worthwhile addition to the boards but I doubt that I'd use it much.

My problem is that I play with family/friends and we have a group too large already so we wouldn't be trying to expand our numbers.

On the other hand, it's neat to see where folks live. 8-)

I think it's a great idea, especially with the fact that other MA players/enthusiasts are harder to bump into at your local game shop than the Warhammer crowd!

As you stated, folks would only have to post on a voluntary basis...

Okay,

It's done. I've set it up on the front page of the forum, right at the bottom. It should be member only, and I'll check that shortly.

I've also let people know on the Yahoo! Gamma World group that it exists. I don't expect to gain any new members from this, but we migh get a bit of interest from a few "lapsed" Metamorphosis Alpha players :)

I would like to take this space to deeply thank Craig for all of his hard work in maintaining this website. Without him we wouldn't be able to talk up MA as easily as we do.

Craig, I'm in your debt.

+1 from me. This is a great site, even if we don't have quite as many participants as I'd like to see. Thanks, Craig, for all that you do here! 8-)

Except of course when they owe you money. ;)

+2 I know I'm new here but just wanted to offer my thanks to you as well, Craig!

This site is awesome and an incredible resource for those of us coming back to MA after a long time of being lost in deep space!
Looking forward to being an active member of the Warden crew here for a long time to come. Cheers! :D
