Everyone likes to make friends, right?

   Well, with the creation of Androids, mankind made a lot of new friends. Okay, perhaps more like servants, slaves or tools, depending upon your viewpoint.

   Androids were considered the perfect tool, more adaptable that a Robot, cheaper to manufacture and able to do most tasks a Human would be able to do, as well, if not better.

   Androids can be customized for a wide range of tasks, simply by being placed in a vat and being reprogrammed with the required skills or programs, while the required physical features are literally grown onto them.

The Androids of the Starship Warden originally came in four varieties:

Computer Androids

Companion Androids

Worker Androids

Security Androids

   With the disaster, the ship’s computer used a prototype schematic to modify some Security Androids to become Combat Android Prototypes.

   Most Android types are available from the second phase of play, and have detailed rules in the main rulebook.

   Unfortunately, eco-terrorists released a nano-virus into one of the Android creation vats, which corrupted the vat’s processes, causing it to produce Killer Androids. These are red Androids with the same range of capabilities as normal Androids, but with a murderous impulse and a desire to “be in charge”.
